Sony Vaio Laptop Turns Off When Power Plug is Removed?

By Netbook Specialist • November 12, 2009 • Filed in: Sony Vaio Laptop

Hello,

My Sony Vaio Laptop turns off when we unplug the energy starting in to the computer. Are there ways to pill this incident over carrying to buy the brand new battery? The cost is the bit as well costly for me to squeeze the deputy battery. Any assistance would be many appreciated!

Depending on how old your battery is, that might be the cruel reality. You also want to check and see if the battery is properly connected. Sometimes the battery gets loose, prongs are bent etc. Unfortunately if there is something internally wrong with the connections between battery power and the rest of the computer that could also be a pricey repair if not under warranty.

Hope that can ease your mind at least a little.

Unless you plug your charger into a long Extension cord that will take it where you want to go there is nothing else you can do but buy a new battery.

Go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options
Change the POWER PLAN to POWER SAVER(under POWER OPTIONS) or VAIO Ultimate Battery(under Show addtional plans).
