Two weeks ago we got an Acer Aspire One, any way my dog forsaken his fondle upon a shade as well as it smashed, so we was only wondering if any one knew how most it competence price for me to get a shade replaced. Thanks in advance!
There are 3 suggestions to question “Acer Aspire One – Price of replacement screen?”
There’s a lot of work involved with replacing a screen. I recommend checking your guarantee and trying to get the unit fixed via that method. Make sure you use the phone and ask them questions before you send a unit back.
You might want to consider just getting a new netbook. The cost for a new screen plus labor would be nearly the same price as buying a new one.
I have had an Aspire One for about 4 weeks and the same thing has happened although this time a childs bottle not a pets toy! I tried under the warranty and they got me to email a picture of the screen whilst switched on and switched off. It was clearly ‘damage’ rather than a fault so that saved me the cost of sending it in only to hear the same thing. I have sourced some pretty cheap alternatives with Simpleacer.com or Amazon and it worked out cheaper than the repair cost and also cheaper than the house insurance excess.
But I am currently investigating a friend doing the work for me if I can get the screen. Ebay have spare screens but haven’t found a 10.1″ one yet. If that fails I will just buy a new one and try and sell the ram etc on Ebay. I am sure people out there would buy it damaged if they knew how to fix it themselves.
