With the ipad you get a great user interface, and awesome apps from the app store. It does come at a high price though. With the arches 9 you get a pretty food ui, and it is also more open. With the ipad you can only really download stuff from the AppStore and iTunes, but with the arches 9 you can download anything. I have an ipad and it is awesome. It is probably the best computer I have wve owned.

do not get an iPad they break after 1 or 2 weeks..buy the Archos 9..it is a way better
If you want user-friendliness and you already have an iDevice/mac, then I’d suggest the iPad. You’ll get some of your data synced between your devices.
If open-ness, mod-ability, or price is more important to you, then I’d suggest the Archos 9.
Its not true that it breaks after 1-2 weeks. i have one . woks Fine.maybe there was something wrong with Your device.
The ipad is a great device. Its Fast, light, cool design. .. i really would recommend it
