The Asus will do you fine. It is a good machine, and there are no advantages to the MSI, even though it is a good company.
Both of them are completely capable of running anything but games and Video editing. Neither of them can do those things, but neither can any other laptop that has integrated graphics.

No reason to wait. I think Asus EEE 1000H is suitable for you (for internet, e-mail and taking online). It also have better performance, better battery life, and much easy to upgrade.
