Can you use a mini-DVI to VGA adapter for a dual screen setup with Windows 7 in Boot Camp 3.1?

I have the MacBook 13" (November 2007 identifier 3,1). we wish to bond it to my Toshiba HDTV regulating the mini-DVI pier whilst regulating Windows 7 in Boot Camp 3.1. we already have the mini-DVI to DVI adapter which does not work underneath Windows XP as well as 7, though does work underneath Snow Leopard. That is what is ostensible to happen. Now, we do not thoughts regulating the VGA wire to bond the MacBook to the HDTV given the TV won’t accept audio from the Audio-In unless we make use of the VGA-In anyway. we review churned testimonials online saying either or not the mini-DVI to VGA adapter will work upon the MacBook continuous to an outmost guard underneath Windows 7 around Boot Camp 3.1. Someone let me know if the mini-DVI to VGA adapter will work. we usually wish responses from people which know first-hand if it will work–not from people who listened it from the friend-who-has-a-roommate-that-knew-this-guy-who-did-it. So reply usually if we know if it will work or not as well as if we have the MacBook regulating Windows 7 underneath Boot Camp 3.1 regulating the mini-DVI to VGA adapter.

There are one Suggestion to question “Can you use a mini-DVI to VGA adapter for a dual screen setup with Windows 7 in Boot Camp 3.1?”

  1. Did you install the Windows drivers for the graphics chip?

If you did not, (i.e. Windows says you are using the "standard VGA graphics adapter" under device manager), you will NOT be able to run dual displays, no matter what miniDVI adapter you got connected.
