KANDINSKY STYLE?? XD Thats’s Mondriaan smartass;)
yea this was just a bit over 40 sec
Well my XP is booting in 15 seconds on the Eee PC 901. Why should i use the most overloaded OS, that noone even wants to use on the desktop, on a mobile device?
Weird stuff
ha that vista boots faster than most vista systems that iv’e used. this guy is just a hater. lol
Why does he say that it takes 90 seconds to boot?, if it starts closer to 30 (From 3:15 in the video to almost 4:00), which is quite impressive for ANY Vista system… I would put some light linux distro in it, but come on!
I’m thinking of getting one,
i just need one question.
Can it play youtube videos and can it have apps such as PC games word PowerPoint etc.
What, with the Dragonballs from Dragonball Z you can make it look like Dragonballs, pff, idiot, don’t look at me you fool, Dragonballs with the that one buddy boy, yes, pff, wu tang clan with their dragonballs.
MS Windows Vista.
was ist Vista?

Listen pal, have you ever seen a Kandinsky? This one refers to Piet Mondrian.

you are of course right mate…
sorry i just mixed it up.. too much parties after the show and a lack of sleep
Sorry i just don’t know why i mixed up jadinsky with mondrian… show stress i guess :p
The art on one of the netbooks are not Kadinsky, but Mondrian. Kadinsky style is quit different from Mondrian. Sorry about this digression . I would love to have a Scream laptop!
but it’s just the M912V and not the M912X as he says, cuz if it WAS the X-Version it would run XP as OS and not Vista.
But I also think that XP makes MUCH more sense then Vista on such a system.
Ok.. lets do a little math, shall we?
the M912 has a screen-resolution of 1280×768 which makes an aspect-ratio of 1,6666666…. and so on.
My primary NORMAL-PC-Screen has a resolution of 1920×1200, which IS wide-screen but only has an aspect-ratio of 1,6 without any more digits.
If we calculate the aspect-ratio of 1080p/i with 1920×1080, we will see that it is 1,77777 and come to the conclusion that 1,66666 is an even WIDER screen-aspect-ratio then 1,6 of the other normal wide-screens.
change the intro, its too long and fugly…nice overview at the M912 !
when will this be released in the US
I would NEVER buy a monitor, a TV, a notebook or a netbook that isn’t widescreen.
Nice try, Gigabyte, but why the hell not make it wide? Narrow screen just sucks in every aspect.
When is this being released in Japan and in Europe?
In your case it has to be a very slow harddisk. The regular harddisks inside many of these new mobile computers are just as fast as 1,8″ (cheap) SSDs, which is pretty good compared to even a three year old 7200RPM disk.
Im sorry… you stated the boot time was slow, i timed it and it took about 30 seconds to come up from when the windows logo first appeared, for a 1.6 GHZ notebook booting vista that is fast, i dont know why 30 seconds feels like 90 to you but that was not the case… for a 600$ swivel touch screen linux compatible subnotebook, this is probably the best deal that will be on the net…

maxh75: hardware failures, or simply a really slow HD and not enough (slow) RAM. But you’re right – it’s the hardware that counts.
GhettoLevis: If ANY computer needs 2-3 minutes to boot a fresh install of XP, then it got loads of hardware failures that it got to deal with during the boot sequence.
My old Celeron 600Mhz with like 256Mb SDRAM takes 30-45 seconds to boot a fresh install of XP. Not kidding, proof can be given if wanted.
Exactly, I was less than one minute to boot. That’s really good. In fact I know of XP PCs taking more than that.
