So we know how to block the apparatus in properly, however, my FN (function)buttons aren’t working. How do we switch it from the "LCD" perspective to the "output" perspective but regulating the Function key?

Go into control panel. Click adjust screen resolution. Look for default monitor. Click "extend desktop onto this monitor". Click "apply".
you can change this in > control panel> VAIO control center>
display > select the setting you need.
if you don’t have VAIO Control center.. for Vista change it in >Control panel> Personalization> display settings> choose you setting for extended.
for Xp in > Control panel > Display settings.> then choose your setting
