did u tried diskmanager?u want to install fresh window delete and re-create all partitions this can also be done by booting from ur windows xp disk.
At first set 1st boot device CD or DVD ROM, 2nd boot device Hard disk, then disable SATA option from BIOS, after that insert bootable XP disk. Install the operating system by following the instructions.
