Netbook

I just bought a Toshiba Mini 305. I am wondering, if it does not have a DVD drive, can I transfer pics?

Can we only not make use of my camera with it? My camera requires which we insert the CD to implement the program for the camera initial as well as this mechanism does not have the DVD drive.

There are 2 suggestions to question “I just bought a Toshiba Mini 305. I am wondering, if it does not have a DVD drive, can I transfer pics?”

  1. The laptop you bought is called a netbook because it is small, weak —perfect for just browsing the internet and has no dvd drive because it has no room.

There is a couple of ways
    1. if you have a pc with a dvd drive you inset the dvd/cd and take a usb stick and copy all of the files from the dvd/cd to the usb and then insert the usb stick in your laptop and install t he program.

    2. Download the program from the internet and insall

    3. Take your memory stick from your camera (if it is sony then the memory stick will be memory stick pro duo and if it from canon, nikon etc it will probaly be a SD card) and insert it into the netbooks memory stick reader in teh appropriate space for the model and then open it in the computer and copy the pictures

    4. You can buy a external DVD drive and then just install it, you can use the DVD drive for playing other dvd discs of course (the DVD drive connects using usb)

If you post the company of the camera and maybe the model then we can give you more particular instructions.

  2. With my camera i didn’t install anything. Just put the usb cable from the camera on the laptop and the other side of the cable to the camera then go to my computer and it will shwo up and do whatever you like!

    Hope i helped!
