It is possible to remove the password on bootup, from both the BIOS and Windows. The BIOS may require some time or special tools, but I could remove Vista's with my eyes closed. Yes. If you do not use a BIOS password and/or use encryption on your harddrive such as PGP whole disk encryption then someone can very easily boot the computer to either a linux disk (like Knoppix live cd) or to a Password Cracking suite like Ophcrack. They could even simply pop out the harddrive and use imaging software to make a forensic image and then carve out any data they wanted from it.. ;) Good Luck Yes.
