Is it worth buying Blu Ray movies for a 17″ inch Sony Vaio Laptop? Or do you benefit from a large screen only?
Shall we buy dvd or bluray? for my brand new laptop with bluray combo drive?

HD and Blu Ray have there points but
HD is cheaper.
Screen resolution on the smaller screens
are much better,that’s if they can be with
improving technology, both formats are
excellent on any screen as long as they
have the pixels.
Why not borrow or rent a bluray, I wouldn’t of thought on a 17" screen it would make a lot of difference.. certainly not enough to pay out the extra they are charging for a bluray disk.. but I suppose it would be nice to own just one to show off what your computer is capable of.. have fun with it
Even if you have a BDROM, you must have a decent Graphics Card to go with it, so it can provide HD quality.
If you already have the laptop compare a blu-ray and DVD of the same movie and see , but I expect you won’t see any significant difference on a screen that small. Unless you plan to use Blu-ray for conventional viewing (i.e. HDTV/projector in a home theatre) I wouldn’t wast money on Blu-ray.
i think you must buy blu-ray you can also play it on the ps3
