There are 2 suggestions to question “Is the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 a good laptop?”
I just purchased one for myself and will be using it for school. I’m a college student and will use it mainly for browsing, research, Office 2007, and chat. It is a really nice laptop (actually net book due to its size) to have when you are on the go or if you just prefer portability. If you intend to use it to run heavy programs (like photo shop or downloading music) I wouldn’t recommend it as it really wasn’t made for those purposes. However, if you have a SD HD card, you can slip that into your desktop computer and add your music, photos, videos to the card then take the card and slip in into the Mini 9 slot and view your videos and listen to your music on the Mini without using your hard drive space. ‘
You can manually upgrade the RAM to a 2gb for a better processing speed. It’s pretty cheap to buy the chip to do this as well.
