If they plan on using the internet and downloading anything, you may need a larger HDD
I think it would the best option for kids. All they would need it for is homework and not much else. The laptop is best suited for that, it just wouldn’t be a good laptop if they used it for gaming. It is low cost and wouldn’t really matter if they break it compared to having an expensive laptop. The only thing I worry about on that laptop is the hard drive size, which is fairly small.
