My mother wants a mini laptop. Anybody have any knowledge with a Dell 10" mini laptop 9.99 retail? or a Acer from att wireless. we similar to a dell, though we have to buy a expostulate from att to get wireless connection. If we get a a single from att, it already has a wireless built in, though we do not know a brand. Not certain if it is reliable.

If your going to get a 3g card, I think the acer is probably a better deal. I’ve never owned an acer, but I’ve only heard good things about them.
One thing I would say about the dell is the option for a 6 cell battery. I have a very similar netbook with a 6 cell battery, and it has ridiculous battery life. I literally use it all day long with out needing to charge it.
I have the Dell mini 9 and I LOVE IT! It does everything my older 4 year old full size laptop did plus some! They are small, light, quiet and easy to use. I like Dell myself, but my friends have the Acer and it works the same way. The Acer will be cheaper in the end with Hard Drive Space and the wlan card, but they aren’t as easy to upgrade.
I have the acer one, its pretty fast despite its specs but thats probably due to windows xp on it instead of vista. What can I say it works like it should lol, dell is well known for its warrenty but acer is also a trustable brand, just not as popular as dell.
Hi marvin
its more a question of cost, the better ones are the most expensive. the dell product does come with good back up service .
