They have been lovable though do any of them have the cd expostulate thing??
There are 9 suggestions to question “Mini Laptops what do you guys think?”
Dell offers a great little mini laptop. It comes with an external CD/DVD burner for liek $35.00 extra. One with all the bells and whistles costs around $850 although the base models cost around $350.00
depends what you want to do with it
mac/ apple laptops are good and can hold a lot and have a cd harddrive and stuff
I don’t think they come with a cdrom built in.
I think they are ok if you really, really need something portable…but for everyday work, I think they are limiting in power and functionality. but that’s just my opinion.
I’ve never seen a netbook with an optical drive in it.
they are great if you just want to have a machine for basic word processing and wifi internet on the go, anything beyond that they would not be the best choice.
have not seen on with a cd drive but you can pick up an external cd drive cheap. just make sure it has at least 1gb of ram to and at least 3 usb ports.
Yay for lap-tots like MSI u100…
if you want a full on computer that does all the computery things you do, get a full on computer. (in laptop form if you like, but the whole petunia).
If what you want is a very functional way to do the basics, that you can stick in your back pocket, yes. these things are great. you need to use USB based externalls for many of the functions that are built in to a normal laptop, but the battery life, and light as a featherishness of these things make them very handy.
These minis should be thought of a pretty looking kinda cool mail machine. These are not designed to be high performance machines. You ARE trading computer power for slim design, but me. I LOVE my u100, (it’s running Mac OS leopard like it was meant to do so)..

No CD drive, wait and get a full size lap top with better features.
But if it’s a mini you want look here:
