In either case you can replace the keyboard. Find instructions for your specific laptop before attempting and make sure you get the correct model number (Check the manufactures web site) But, first, try this. Gently pry the key off, but be careful as they're held on by small plastic clamps that can break easily. Then put it back on, making sure to get it to snap in properly. Maybe.
