uou might want to wipe it fiorst with DBAN (www.dban.org) then reinstall OS. if it’s an older computer, Windows 7 is meant for faster and newer processors. You will need to use XP if you prefer windows. Have you tried Linux? Ubuntu (www.ubuntu.com) is a greast OS that works fast for older computers.
I personalty hate laptops because of such an issue. A Tower would be an easier fix but i would suggest opening it up and start with adding more ram. I’m not sure how much you got on it but try about 6gigs. I really don’t know anything else after that but if that doesn’t work still, next time get a virus protector.
