Primary usage: Home-use purposes such as browsing a web, voice chatting, etc. It should additionally have a built-in web cam.

These have been what we am seeking at:

1. Acer Aspire One AOD150
2. ASUS Eee Personal Computer 1000HE
3. HP Mini 1000 or HP Mini 2140
4. Dell Inspiron Mini 9
5. Lenovo S10-2
6. Toshiba NB205
7. Samsung N110 or Samsung NC10 or any alternative Samsung netbooks. I’ve listened which they have great netbooks.

I have review so most reviews of these netbooks online, as well as we can’t appear to have up my thoughts upon what competence fit me best.
I am about a looks; a netbook has got to demeanour good, detached from a customary specs such as 1GB RAM, 160GB HD, etc.

There are 4 suggestions to question “What netbook should I go for? Can you recommend one that is light-weight, has good battery life, & good looks?”

  1. Asus eee pc1000HE

  2. http://www.dell.com
    Inspiron 15

  3. I generally believe on cnet.com editor’s rating. I cannot look for each of you choice on cnet but you can read the editor’s review for each one of these. And any of these that has 4 stars or above is good.

Look at the good, the bad and the bottom line.

    For example, Toshiba NB205:

Also, I think if you can wait, you should wait for sometime before you buy a laptop, because right now Microsoft is towards decommissioning Windows Visa and new laptops will be coming in market with Windows 7.

Next is your RAM that you mentioned as 1 GB, with today’s standards, that would not be sufficient, Vista and Office 2007 itself is too bulky and 1 GB ram Laptop will be very slow.

Processor speed, in my opinion should be at least 2 ghz.

Regarding support, please see that what local support centers do you have in your city before you buy a laptop. Because I think Acer does not operate in India.

I don’t know why but you have not mentioned any Sony?

  4. The laptops you have mentioned are indeed one of the best available.
But if you want looks as well as good after sales support Dell or HP should be your choice. I would go for the one which will give the best features within your budget.
