There are 6 suggestions to question “What notebook is better, Sony Vaio notebooks or Apple Macbook Pro?”
I think they’re both great choices for people who like to pay way too much and get far too little, in return.
Get a Dell or a Gateway. You’ll get similar features for less money and the machine will get the job done for you, just as well. You’re just going to want to replace it in a year or two, anyway, so why overpay?
I have a Gateway purchased as a remanufactured unit on Ebay for about $650 bucks. It’s dual core, has plenty of memory and HD, great display, great speed, etc. It’s a year old, with no malfunctions or defects and I expect it’ll go for another couple of years before I decide to replace it, again with something massively functional, but cheap.
Probably tons of people will pipe up with "Gateway sucks because…" comments. The worst mistake you can make in choosing a system is "brand loyalty". Just buy by features and price. ANY of the major brands will give you a good, reliable machine.
Another poster said something about Vaio’s having problems with capacitors on the mother board. Never heard that one. I know people who have VERY OLD Vaios. They’re excellent (but overpriced) machines.
apple is more good looking,
you can run both mac and windows on an apple laptop,
unlike sony.
of course sony is great but check on that mac and windows thing.
Depends on what operating system you want: Windows Vista/Xp or Mac OSX?
Your decision also depends on your budget.
But the problem is that Macbook Pro and Vaio are totally different laptops.
You’re comparing Apples and Oranges here.
Macbook is the better hardware hands down Sony have problems with the capactors on the motherboard on the VAIOs and it has been known quite often that they exceed the power limit and destroy the computer so the Macbook is good and you should be able to run windows on it as well if you want so i would go with that
