if you go to the DELL site you have to add everything to them, i was looking at getting one. you even have to pay for them NOT to put VISTA on it. that is what they want to automatically give you. some of the really cheap ones have no cd drives you have to use external ones.
They are massed produced with cheap parts. In the computer world, you get what you pay for. If you are just going to be writing term papers and surfing the internet then this is a good buy. If you plan on using it for multi media purposes such as photo shop, gaming, and video editing, don’t even try. They have cheap graphics engines, usually a cheap Intel chip. Also you need to realize that while Dell has made a name for itself, the only reason they can sell is because they are cheap. Save your money and buy a NICE laptop for around 800. You won’t regret it.
