What's up with Dell's uber cheap new laptops?

I’m meditative of the Vostro A90, or the Inspiron fifteen (not counting the netbooks). These have been computers which have been in the 300-400 dollar range…yet we had to cover emporium not some-more than 4 months ago as well as these were nowhere to be seen.

What’s with all the new, poor laptops? Are they any good?
Yeah, we finished up removing the pimped out Dell Latitude 4 months ago, behind when the E5500 bottom cost was similar to 700. Brought it up to about 900, which thing functions beautifully.
I’ve additionally beheld the brand brand new E5500 have been the integrate hundred dollars some-more costly than they were prior to these super poor ones were released…

There are 4 suggestions to question “What's up with Dell's uber cheap new laptops?”

  1. for web browsing and everyday stuff they are good enough, for anything processor and graphics intensive, nope

  2. Dell in order to compete had to cut profit. I got my Acer 2 years ago for only 498.00. Dual cor turion 64×2 4 gig ram 250 gig drive and all the other whistles and bells.

  3. if you go to the DELL site you have to add everything to them, i was looking at getting one. you even have to pay for them NOT to put VISTA on it. that is what they want to automatically give you. some of the really cheap ones have no cd drives you have to use external ones.

  4. They are massed produced with cheap parts. In the computer world, you get what you pay for. If you are just going to be writing term papers and surfing the internet then this is a good buy. If you plan on using it for multi media purposes such as photo shop, gaming, and video editing, don’t even try. They have cheap graphics engines, usually a cheap Intel chip. Also you need to realize that while Dell has made a name for itself, the only reason they can sell is because they are cheap. Save your money and buy a NICE laptop for around 800. You won’t regret it.
