Which laptop for college?

eee pc 1000
Which laptop would be great for a college student?
Hey, I’m a college tyro as well as I’m debating in between laptops. The laptop we have right away we breaking!!
The brand new macbook, asus eee pc 1000, or a sony vaio fw series.

The categorical make make make use of of of for my laptop will be only browsing a internet or personification online games. we do not unequivocally make make make use of of of a laptop we have right away for anything alternative than what we listed.

Anyway, i’m wondering if a Asus would be great sufficient for my use, since it is a netbook, afterall. Or should we go for a macbook. Which is similar to $800 more. Or hang with a vaio.

Oh yeah, a demeanour is flattering critical for me too, when purchasing a laptop. By looks, that a single is a best.

There are 6 suggestions to question “Which laptop for college?”

  1. You should buy the macbook. the 15′ inch screen. That looks great.

  2. Macbook. Get the black one with at least 2GB of RAM. The Intel Macs will run Leopard AND Windows Vista or XP (you’ll need another retail license though).

  3. If I were going to but a PC I would go with a Dell, let me explain…If you go on Dell’s website you can customize your computer very easily. If you want kind of an entry level computer, go with an inspiron. If you want something a little more “savy” go with a Studio or XPS. What you want to look for when buying a new computer is good hard drive space, somewhere around 250 GB, A good amount of RAM or, memory, and a good processor speed, somewhere around 2.0 GHz. Dell makes excellent laptops at an affordable price!

  4. Personally, i would go with the macbook. Looks are great, and performance is even better. The $800 is definitley worth it because you will have 800% less problems to deal with. Also, it comes with most of the features that you would use in college but is still simple and user friendly

    Good Luck.

  5. As a college student in the field of engineering I would advise against the macbook without placing the Microsoft operating system on it. The thing is that a lot of software necessary for college runs well on a Microsoft machine much better then it does on a mac machine. I am not saying don’t get the macbook but instead think about what software you will need for the major you are going for. Also not that you cannot run a lot of microsoft programs on mac os x, the thing is you can run these programs but there is a slight decrease in their performance. I know running programs like pro-E / cad / 3ds max, trying to run these on mac os x is possible but almost brain dead slow.. When buying a laptop the internals are just as important as how it looks. Which one has the fastest processing speed, video card, and memory size. Also put these into account when deciding which one to purchase.

  6. Acer aspire one is a good laptop for the price. 400 dollars. it is a mini 8.9 and has only 1 gb of ram, but 160gb hd. good battery- 5 hours and has xp. Camera, blue, white or black. runs pretty good. again really cheap compared to dell and mac
