There are 4 suggestions to question “Which Netbook should i buy?”

  1. None of them if you are planning on gaming.

  2. I recommend the Eee Pc. I have one and I love it. It also comes in a cute pink color.

  3. Do not buy a netbook.

There are no real benifits right now given the lackluster performance and the only slightly smaller size compared to traditional laptops.

Looking at your budget I would try to stretch it to 400ish.

    Then go with this instead:

You get a computer that is much much better for a small increase in price. Even if you have to save for a few months, I would do this.

Regardless of computing power, you are also getting an actual copy of windows 7. Windows 7 starter has a lot of bad limitations detailed here:

  4. looking at both at least the acer tells you the speed of memory, which I would max out 1 Gb isn’t enough, once you star running other software. If this is going to be your main PC your going to need a lot of accessories? They are good for travelling and maybe taking notes at school etc. You will still need to purchase an external hard drive for backups, and a cd/dvd drive to create recovery discs or if you look in the February edition of PC User Australia, it tells you how to install Windows 7 on a USB 4GB stick, and install from it? So They are pretty much the same at least price wise, but I would go the Acer, they both have starter kits, it is just the Acer specifies 667 Mhz memory, and the HP doesn’t specify
