I recieved my brand brand new inspiron mini 9 as well as a great, though a battery assign is during 0%. i left it upon assign for a couple of hours though still nothing. Obviously i contacted dell, as well as they have been promulgation me a brand brand new horse in a post, though i dont see how which will help? a ac adaptor functions excellent as a netbook functions excellent when plugged in to mains. any suggestions?

It may be a defective battery or a faulty charging circuit. I agree it doesn’t sound like a faulty charger.
You will have to adhere to Dells protocol so if the problem isn’t fixed get back to them. I assume they are sending you the least expensive repair option to begin with and hoping that will fix it
I’ve had the same problem. Got a Dell Mini 9 Netbook for Christmas and the battery won’t charge. I’ve contacted Dell, but have so far got no solution. Very annoying!
