Almost everyone needs a computer on the go nowadays, be it a cheap laptops or a tablet. While not everyone can afford an iPad or a Samsung Galaxy, not everyone can afford a good looking expensive laptop either. Laptops such as the Sony Vaio and Macbook are known to be the Louis Vuitton of laptops, which are not really necessary if you are just intent on getting some work done or want to surf the net. Your options would then be cheap laptops such as the Acer Aspire or the Toshiba Satellite. But what if you still can’t afford it, or don’t want to fork out so much for something that you don’t intend to use for long, perhaps?
Using refurbished laptops (not cheap laptops) isn’t an option.
Be it due to worries that it might fail especially during the most critical moments or you simply don’t fancy using someone’s used goods, then that’s when you should consider getting a netbook. Netbooks are the best answers for someone who wants an affordable computer to be brought on the go. In other words, we can call them cheap laptops. They are also light, are very handy especially when you are travelling and it doesn’t consume as much power as the regular laptop due to its sheer size. Netbooks have been known to last up to 8 hours compared to the average 2 hours that you get on a regular laptop, which is simply great if you are on the go and are not able to find a power source.

On the downside, the performance of a netbook or cheap laptops can be pretty limited.
Most netbooks comes with a slow hard drive, most likely a 80GB, 160GB or 250GB RAM HDD. To overcome this problem, what you can do is to replace its existing hard drive with a faster and larger one. Most netbooks nowadays run on an Intel Core or Intel Core Duo processor anyway, so netbooks aren’t as slow as they used to be in the earlier years when they were first launched.
As a conclusion, a netbook or cheap laptops is your answer if you want a light and affordable computer to be on the move with you.
