Pricing for a simple iPad (16 GB) will begin during around 0.

Please prove if you’re masculine or female.

Thank you.

There are 22 suggestions to question “Will you be purchasing an iPad…?”

  1. no
    male

  2. The name *I-pad* Sounds like an electronic feminine hygiene product – the Apple marketing team really got the branding of this product totally wrong, eh?

    EDIT:
lol @ Jessica "I am not an early adapter"

    it’s *adopter*

    hehehe

  3. they may come in handy on those heavy flow info days. I would keep one in my european carry-all. I am a man.

  4. Fudge, no. Are you crazy? It’s the most useless piece of technology ever. It’s such an awkward size. There’s smartphones for emailing and browsing the internet casually on the go, and there’s laptops for more extensive work. The iPad falls somewhere in the middle and I can’t see why anyone would scrap their old gadget for this one.

    Consumerism for you eh? Blerghh.

  5. I’d probably wait for a couple months since I’m sure, knowing Apple’s history, they will reduce prices, fix a ton of bugs meanwhile.

I already have an iPhone, an iPod (which I never use), and enough computers and laptops (which are travel-ready). This isn’t a marketing pitch that will entice me into buying iPad.

  6. Female..no..

  7. I am a male. Personally, I think it is the most inconvenient thing Apple has invented. It is too big to be an iPod, yet it is too small to be a laptop. Just carry one or the other. And to add to that, it is expensive.

  8. im a female, and definitely a technology nerd…
    the iPad looks Fabulous..
I find this to be an "it" item soon, the price will definitely go lower
and i will most likely be purchasing one.
    :}

  9. No. I don’t have any problem working on my less trendy HP laptop. I’m not a PC fangirl either, but all things Apple seem overpriced to me.

  10. I don’t ovulate.
    ….
But seriously no. It seems pointless. Not anymore portable than a laptop and weak as shit when it comes to power. Weaker than a netbook.
I wouldn’t even buy a net book. Just get a laptop.

  11. i have no idea what it is but of course being me i need to buy the newest thing. (im a girl)

please help me with these two guys

  12. I may.
I think they seem kinda cute.

if I do not like it, I can always return it.

ADD: I am female, and after reading everyone else answers I have to say I also own a iPhone and a dell laptop but it’s something new and may have more uses to it than just being a ‘bigger ipod touch’

  13. Female.

No. It’s just a big iPhone/iTouch, which I already have. If I want a portable computer I’ll buy a real laptop — most are around the same price and can do so much more.

  14. No, I have no interest in an iPad whatsoever.

  15. why do i need a bigger ipod touch? thats all it is, i mean, masterbating might be better but hell no im not buying sir. im a male

  16. I’m a male and have been an IT Buyer for over 10+yrs.
During that time I”ve alwasy felt that Apple products are more about form than function.
During that time I’ve also felt that tablet PCs are the next natural progression away from laptops. However, the only thing keeping tablets from making any inroads to the market have been their higher price tags.

    Enter the iPad.
To all these people syaing that it’s a glorfied itouch or iphone,
It may be that at first glance but, I can almost guarantee that user developed apps are going to completely change the first generation iPad.

I’ll probably buy my first Apple product no sooner than the 3rd gen iPad.

  17. Male.

No, I will not be purchasing an iPad. I have never owned any products manufactured by Apple and I do not plan to start now. Money has nothing to do with it.

I would not be interested in receiving it as a gift from a loved one, but I would accept it then trade it in for something I actually want.

  18. Did you hear?
Apple announced today that it has developed a breast implant that can store and play music. The iTit will cost from $499 to $699, depending on cup and speaker size. This is considered a major social breakthrough, because women are always complaining about men staring at their breasts and not listening to them.

No I’m not running out for an iPad…figured I give it a little while for the mistakes and bugs to come out, as they always do with new technology and then maybe I’ll buy one

  19. Female, but I don’t ovulate any more, not since I had my uterus and ovaries removed a few years back. Medical problems with them, and removal was the best answer. So, a person can be female, but be too young, too old, or have other reasons why she doesn’t ovulate.

I have yet to be convinced that I need one. I do own a cell phone, but the only reason I do have one is because I have medical problems, and my husband is worried that I will need it to summon help sometime. I do carry my cell…but I usually have it switched off. I don’t think that I’ve made or received any calls on it since the first of the year.

For that matter, I don’t have or want a laptop. I find that both the screen and the monitor of laptops are too small for me to comfortably use. I learned to touch type back when that high school class was still called typing, and only girls took it. When I try to work on a laptop, I feel all cramped.

If I was going into the hospital for another long stay (as I said, I have health problems, and occasionally I have to stay in the hospital for a month or so for tests and treatment, and it’s just about as much fun as it sounds like), then yeah, I’d probably want an iPad or laptop or something like that, but I’d have to think about whether I’d really want an iPad.

I am NOT an early adaptor. I prefer other people to find and squish the bugs that seem to infest every new product. Also, the first production is always the most expensive, per unit. I think that the storage capacity will go up and the price will come down by a great deal.

I am also not currently interested in ebook readers, particularly Kindle. While I am interested in ebooks, right now the licensing restrictions seem to be unreasonable, to me. For instance, Amazon reserves the right to DELETE an ebook if it wants to. Nope…I don’t agree with that, and I’m not gonna get a Kindle while they still have such unfair privileges.

I like technology, but I won’t buy a new gadget just because it’s new. I will only buy something if I think that I will actually use it.

I AM in the market for a new desktop tower, as it happens, and I’ve been researching and selecting the components of it over the past couple of weeks. An iPad isn’t going to be able to replace my desktop.

  20. nah

    but might buy a iTampon

  21. No, but I may be writing a book about something similar to the iPad and how it ends up destroying society.

    No, really.

  22. Not interested.
